Challenge Academy 2009

This year Challenge Academy students enjoy fitness and are fully committed to sports. Challenge Academy is made up of two year seven classes and two year eight classes, one male teacher called Matua Daryl in Room 11,three female teachers,Miss Hartley Room 12,Whaea Tracey Room 13, and Whaea Rea Room 14.There has been an Awesome amount of effort in maths, literacy, reading, handwriting, and spelling from these classes. We have shown good progress during our class time. We lead by example with our sports talents and our fine athletes and our academic students around Kaitao Middle School. Last week Whaea Rea had made two softball teams up to play a game of softball game against Rotorua intermediate. The two teams were mostly made up of Challenge students and a couple of other students in other Academies. These two teams showed that they were fully dedicated to play that game, lots of students at lunch time were supporting the two Kaitao teams, they played a good game and team one won both of their games against Rotorua Intermediate. Team two lost one game against them but played and awesome game that day.

CHALLENGE ACADEMY!!!SWIMMING!!!

Challenge students loved swimming this year we were all focused and 100% on task. The swimmers were AWESOME and they enjoyed it a lot. Bosson, Morrison, Solomon, and last but not least Reid. All fantastic houses also there chants were AWESOME. The swimming competitions were Running in the water, Free style, Ball race, hola hoop race, and last but not least Breast stroke. But unfortunately we didn't get to finish all of races I think we were too focused on our swimming and least focused on the time. So after we found out we were late Ms Solomon said okay this is what we are going to do, all the fantastic swimmers can have 5 minutes free time. We all jumped into the pool and had a lot of FUN. So that was the end of the day we got changed jumped on the bus as fast as we could and we were back on track. So well done to all the swimmers and the academy supporters!.
